The Finsbury Park Mosque would like to make clear that the recent media reports about Muslims being radicalised at its premises relate to pre February 2005 when the Mosque was controlled by supporters of Abu Hamza.  Post February 2005 with a new set of trustees, the Mosque has worked very hard to ease tensions and improve community cohesion with various stakeholders.  According to a spokesman from the Mosque “We have been working hard over the last 6 years to build relationships with the local Council, the Police, MPs and the local Community.  We have wanted to draw a line under the Mosque’s past”.

The Finsbury Park Mosque rejects any insinuation that radicalisation has taken place on its premises since February 2005.
