Last Sunday, North London Central Mosque has held its 2nd annual youth conference under the theme ‘Youth 4 the Future’. The one-day event lasted from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM and was well received by the local youth. The event started with a welcome speech from Mr. Mohamed Kozbar, secretary of the Trustees of North London Central Mosque who welcomed the attendees to the mosque's second annual coneferenc. The welcome was followed by a presentation from Darren Cheesman, the youth worker of the mosque, on the youth achievements and the ongoing activities. Imam Ziaullah Khan gave a talk on the challenges facing the youth and the importance of schooling and education in today’s world.

Mr. Anas Altakriti spoke on the importance of engagement and finally Imam Ahmed Saad spoke on the spiritual empowerment. The event included entertainment by Labbayk group and was concluded with a lengthy Q & A Session. A lot of young people emailed the mosque expressing their happiness with the event and thanking the mosque for making such an event. Some of their words are as follows:

“Assalamu Alaikum sheikh Saad...just wanted to say May Allah reward you for all your efforts in organising various activities for the youth, particularly today’s conference (youth for the future) it was an awesome and successful conference. Personally, some of the talks in fact all the talks were very very heart warming reminders..and may Allah give you the ability to continuo in organising more Dawah conferences for us Inshallah...Could you please give me a copy of your today’s lecture (notes) as I couldn’t write down all the things that you’ve said? Jazakallahu Khairan. And my appreciation also goes to the other guests that took part in today's conference.” (Sara SH)
